ZPTools ("we", "us", or "our") operates an online tool collection platform that provides a variety of developer and creative utilities. We collect different types of information depending on which tools you use and whether you create an account.
1.1 Account Information
When you sign in via Google OAuth or other authentication methods, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture as provided by the authentication provider. This information is used to create and manage your account.
1.2 User Content (Server-Side Tools)
For tools that require server-side processing, we process digital assets you upload ("User Content") to generate the requested output. This content is transmitted to our servers and/or third-party services.
1.3 Client-Side Tools — No Data Collection
Client-Side Processing
Many tools on ZPTools (such as JSON formatting, timestamp conversion, and other data utilities) run entirely in your browser. The data you input into these tools is never transmitted to our servers. We have no access to, and do not collect, any data processed by client-side tools.
1.4 Technical Information
We automatically collect technical metadata including session information, browser type, device information, IP address, and platform interaction logs to ensure the security and performance of our infrastructure.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used to provide and improve the ZPTools platform. Specifically:
- To authenticate your identity and manage your account.
- To process requests for authenticated server-side tools when they are enabled.
- To store and manage your uploaded materials and generated results.
- To track and manage your credits balance for paid tools.
- To detect and prevent fraudulent activities or unauthorized access.
- To communicate critical system updates or security notices.
- To analyze anonymized usage patterns to improve tool quality and platform performance.
3. Third-Party Services
We do not sell your personal data. We use the following trusted third-party services to operate our platform:
- Google OAuth — For authentication. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare — For hosting, data storage (D1 database, R2 object storage), and content delivery.
- Microsoft Clarity — For product analytics, session replay, heatmaps, and interaction diagnostics. Subject to Microsoft's Privacy Statement.
As we add new tools to the platform, additional third-party services may be introduced. This policy will be updated accordingly. Each tool's page will indicate if it relies on external services for data processing.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Uploaded materials and generated results are stored indefinitely unless you request deletion. You may delete individual materials from your library at any time through the platform dashboard.
Data processed by client-side tools is not stored by us at any point. Once you close or refresh the browser tab, that data exists only on your device.
Security Note
We utilize industry-standard encryption for all data at rest and TLS for all data in transit. Your data is stored on Cloudflare's global infrastructure with encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication tokens, and strict access controls. Our processing pipelines are isolated via secure gateways.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR and CCPA), you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Delete uploaded materials and generated content at any time.
- Withdraw consent for data processing by discontinuing use.
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain types of data processing.

6. Cookies and Local Storage
We use session cookies to maintain your authentication state and analytics cookies to understand product usage. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Some client-side tools may use your browser's Local Storage or Session Storage to save preferences or temporary data (such as recent inputs or tool settings). This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.
7. Children's Privacy
Our services are not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us for removal.
8. International Data Transfers
Our platform is hosted on Cloudflare's global infrastructure. Your data may be processed in different countries depending on server availability. By using our services, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside your country of residence, which may have different data protection laws.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly as we add new tools and services to the platform. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
