The recorder automatically selects the best codec available in your browser. It tries WebM with VP9 first, then VP8, then plain WebM, and finally MP4 as a fallback. Most modern browsers support WebM with VP9 for high-quality recordings.
There is no hard time limit on recordings. However, longer recordings produce larger files which are stored in your browser's IndexedDB. Available storage depends on your browser and device — typically several gigabytes. You can manage space by deleting old recordings from the history panel.
